An infographic for UN

World Food Day, which

correlates data sets

regarding Food Miles. I

combined a pie chart and

rose diagram that shows

the ratio of overall

carbon emissions for 18

food items, as well as

their distances travelled

in food miles. This reveals

that the carbon footprint

is not consistently

proportional to the food

miles travelled. Hence,

food miles is not a valid

measure, as other factors

contribute towards

emissions, like primary

production. The pollution

cloud demonstrates the

contribution of food

transport towards these

overall carbon emissions.
